I didn’t want to work out today. I’m dealing with some very strong emotions about something I found yesterday…something I wrote years ago. But, I put my tennis shoes on and headed out the door to go for a walk.
It’s a bright, sunny 68 degrees here and everywhere I walk there is beauty all around me. I end up messing up my workout app because I keep stopping to take pictures.
This morning was no exception…
I got a brisk 30 minute walk done, but was still consumed with my emotions. I almost took my shoes off and called it quits, but then I ended up talking to a friend on the phone for a bit.
I found energy from our conversation and forged ahead with the rest of my workout.
Moral of the story: if you are struggling, go for a walk, call a friend, look in the mirror, and do something good for you.
